About Maite Jiménez Vidal, PhD., L.Ac.

From the lab to the treatment room: My journey to holistic medicine didn't start in a clinic, but in a laboratory. Before becoming a licensed and NCBAHM-certified acupuncturist, I served as a research scientist at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). My work focused on the complex role of intracellular pH in tumor cells, leading to several published research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
While I valued the analytical rigor of Western science, I felt a deep inner call toward a more personal, holistic approach to healing. In 2010, I began a new chapter, expanding my Western medical foundation into the profound wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Your Partner in Healing: I believe that true healing begins when you feel deeply heard. While my background is in cellular research, my heart is in holistic care. I don’t just see symptoms in isolation; I look at how they affect your life, your energy, and your spirit.

Enjoy your acupuncture treatment in a private, serene, and cozy room, enhanced by relaxing music.
Your Initial Consultation & Treatment includes a thorough history, tongue and pulse diagnosis, acupuncture treatment, and infra-red heating therapy. If necessary, custom herbal medicine will be recommended (60-75 min; $145)
Follow up visits last 45-50 min and are $110Please were comfortable clothes and no perfumes.
