My journey to holistic medicine didn't start in a clinic, but in a laboratory. Before becoming a Texas-licensed and NCCAOM-certified acupuncturist, I served as a postdoctoral research scientist at the University of California, San Francisco, studying the complex role of intracellular pH in cell biology in the context of health and disease. While I valued the analytical rigor of basic science, I felt a calling to work more directly with people and their experience of health and disease. During this time, I was also navigating my own process of healing and experienced meaningful relief through acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Guided by this growing interest in holistic medicine, I began formal training in acupuncture and Chinese medicine at the Texas Health and Science University in Austin, where I graduated with a Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.Today, I bring both perspectives into my practice to support patients navigating stress, chronic conditions, digestive and hormonal health. I see my role as your partner in healing, helping create the conditions where the body can do what it already knows how to do: move toward balance, regulation, and recovery.Outside of my work, I love spending time with my daughter and I enjoy discovering music from different parts of the world.

Traditional Chinese Medicine looks at the whole person — body, mind, and environment. At the heart of this medicine is the concept of Qi — the body’s vital life force. When Qi flows harmoniously, the body stays healthy. Illness occurs when that flow is blocked or imbalanced, and this can occur due to environmental factors, our own body constitution, and stressful life experiences. Chinese medicine aims to restore that balance using natural, non-invasive methods, like acupuncture, lifestyle changes, and herbs.By stimulating specific points with very thin sterile needles, it is known that acupuncture helps modulate the nervous system, improve circulation, and support hormonal and digestive function. Many patients experience stress relief, increase sleep quality, better digestion, and less tension and pain. Each person’s experience of health is unique. I believe that true healing begins when you feel deeply heard. Whether you are navigating chronic pain, the weight of daily stress, or systemic health challenges, my practice offers a space for your recovery where you will be listened and understood.
